CENTRO MONTFORD

  • Ascent Real Estate Capital and joint venture partner, Centro Cityworks, are developing a 240-unit apartment community with 1,500 SF of ground-floor commercial space in the Montford Park neighborhood of Charlotte, NC. The Montford Park submarket has emerged as one of the Charlotte’s most active neighborhoods. Centro Montford will be adjacent to the Cross-Trail Greenway and walkable to dozens of restaurants, retail, and nightlife venues.

THE SHOP

  • Ascent Real Estate Capital and Tribek Properties are finishing construction on a transformative redevelopment project at I-277 and N. Graham Street. The project consists of 37,650 SF of creative office and retail space in 1950s-vintage masonry buildings as well as a new, 5,000 SF build-to-suit opportunity. The property was delivered Spring 2020. Tenants include AME Consulting Engineers, Petty Thieves Brewing Co, The Bolt Group, Sparx Marketing, Vets Pets, and Mr. Charles Chicken.

200 SOUTHSIDE

  • In October 2017, Ascent Real Estate Capital acquired a vacant 20,000 SF warehouse building located a half block from The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery in Lower South End. In August 2018, the property finished a transformative renovation and is now a regional headquarters for DPR Construction, one of the largest privately-held companies in the United States.

3609 SOUTH BOULEVARD

  • In January 2018, Ascent Real Estate Capital acquired a 23,000 SF shopping center on the dynamic South Boulevard corridor. The property had been renovated and re-tenanted by the brokerage team at Ascent Real Estate Partners and is 100% occupied. In 2019, Ascent acquired and is starting renovations on a neighboring 6,500 SF building now available for lease.

MORA TOWNHOMES

  • Ascent, in partnership with Beauxwright, acquired a 3-acre lot in March 2023 with a plan to build 58 luxury built-to-rent townhomes. The property will offer residents an excellent location at the gateway of the MoRa district, unmatched connectivity via direct access to both Monroe Road and US-74, and a host of services and amenities though its location adjacent to a mixed-use retail center.

629 PRESSLEY

  • In 2021, Ascent Real Estate Capital acquired a 12,000 SF light-industrial building located in the Southwest Charlotte submarket. Consisting of 2.53 acres (I-2), the property is strategically located off of I-77, with dual access points at Clanton Road and South Tryon Street. In addition, the property is located less than 10 minutes from Charlotte Douglas International Airport and Uptown Charlotte. The property is currently leased to SNAPP USA, a stainless steel and nickel alloy piping distributor.

VANLANDINGHAM ESTATE

  • In March 2019, Ascent Real Estate Capital and its investment partner acquired the VanLandingham Estate. The historic property dates back to 1913 and is located in the heart of Plaza-Midwood. Restoration was completed in 2021; the property is currently leased to Best Impressions Catering and is used as a wedding/events venue.

CENTRO NODA

  • Ascent Real Estate Capital and joint venture partner, Centro Cityworks, are developing a 207-unit apartment community with 11,000 SF of ground-floor commercial space in the NoDa neighborhood of Charlotte, NC. NoDa is one of the most eclectic submarkets in the Carolinas with a high concentration of arts, culture, and entertainment venues. Centro NoDa will be located less than a 5-minute walk from the 36th Street Station of the LYNC Blue Line.

OAKCREST - SPRINGFIELD

  • Oakcrest Preparatory Academy - Springfield will be the fourth installment in the Oakcrest line of daycares. It will consist of a 17,500 SF daycare facility located in the Springfield Town Center of Fort Mill, SC.

OAKCREST - BALLANTYNE

  • In 2019, Ascent Real Estate Capital and investment partners purchased a 3.5-acre tract of land near the intersection of Lancaster Highway and Ballantyne Commons Parkway. The partnership developed a 17,200 SF daycare and 8,500 SF medical office pad. Ballantyne Oakcrest Preparatory Academy, a best-in-class daycare operator, anchors the development.

36 & NODA

  • Ascent Real Estate Capital purchased a retail block in the heart of NoDa in September 2016. Built in the 1940s, the 28,000 SF property is one of Charlotte's landmark retail, restaurant and nightlife destinations.

  • Following the success of Centro Railyard, Ascent Real Estate Capital and joint venture partner, Centro Cityworks, are teaming up again to develop a 132-unit apartment community with 7,300 SF of ground-floor commercial space. The project is a part of The Square, a mixed-use development bringing 150,000 SF of Class A office space to South End.

  • Ascent Real Estate Capital and its joint venture partner, Centro Cityworks, developed a boutique 91-unit apartment community with 13,000 SF of ground-floor commercial space. The project is a part of The Railyard, a landmark mixed-use development bringing 300,000 SF of Class A office space to the heart of South End.

MCCALISTER COURT

  • In 2017, Ascent Real Estate Capital and investment partners purchased an 8.5-acre tract of land near the intersection of South Tryon Street and Steele Creek Road. The partnership acquired two existing office buildings in the transaction and will develop 35,000 SF of new office, medical and commercial space.

    Oakcrest Preparatory Academy - Rivergate, a best-in-class daycare operator, anchors the development with a 16,000 SF campus that opened in January 2019.

  • In June 2018, Ascent Real Estate Capital purchased 10,800 SF of commercial space in the FreeMoreWest submarket of Charlotte. The property was successful sold to an end user in September 2020

  • In January 2016, Ascent Real Estate Capital acquired a 33,000 SF adaptive reuse property in Uptown. Within 18 months, the property was strategically vacated, rebranded and fully re-tenanted.

  • 48 unit apartment building nestled in Charlotte's Optimist Park neighborhood. Developed in 2017 as a collaboration between Ascent principals and Beauxwright. Located across from Parkwood Station (Lynx Light Rail), 300 Optimist Park offers high quality urban apartments with easy access to Uptown and University City.

PARKWOOD SQUARE

  • 59 townhomes located in the burgeoning Optimist Park neighborhood, less than a half mile from Uptown Charlotte, two blocks from the newly delivered Parkwood Station (Lynx Light Rail), and directly across the street from Optimist Hall. Developed by Beauxwright with joint-venture equity provided by Ascent.

BIRKDALE POINT

  • Ascent, in partnership with Redline Property Partners, acquired Birkdale Point Executive Business Park in April 2023. The park consists of four buildings totaling 201,310 SF of office space and is located in the rapidly expanding Huntersville, NC submarket.

    Plans for the property include making significant capital improvements and renovations to the building exteriors, amenities, lobbies, common areas, and restrooms. The property was rebranded from Northpointe Business Park to reflect its location next to Birkdale Village. Ascent will also activate the 3.5 acre vacant outparcel by developing new office or retail.

100 DALTON

  • Ascent acquired a 2-acre parcel in March 2022. Ascent successfully rezoned the parcel in August 2023 to open up multiple development opportunities.

SWAN RUN

  • Ascent Real Estate Capital, in partnership with Beauxwright, acquired a - acre parcel in January 2024 with a plan to provide 76, pa- ready townhome lots in South Charlotte. Ascent has chosen TriPointe Homes to construct the townhomes, and this project marks Ascent’s first for-sale townhome project.
